The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is about a group of kids the Pevensies, Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter, who travel to an unknown land called Narnia, once ruled by a great lion called Aslan. Now, it is ruled by an evil witch, the White Witch, who has put the land in an eternal winter. Led by two talking beavers, the group travels across the land to see Aslan. After Edmund betrays the group and pursues the White Witch, Aslan decides to give his life for him. The book symbolizes the story of Christ where Jesus dies for our sins. I greatly enjoyed this book because represents the love and compassion that Jesus has. My favorite line in the book is where Lucy asks Mr. Beaver if Aslan is safe. Mr. Beaver responds by saying, "Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good. He's the King, I tell you!"
