J.R.R Tolkien's "The Hobbit" was a book that wasn't too long and wasn't too short at the same time. It tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins, a respectable hobbit of Bag End and his line of ancestors (On his father's side), the Bagginses, never did anything unnatural or unexpected ever. However his mother, Belladonna Baggins, was a daughter of The Old Took, who's entire bloodline was infamous for going on nasty, uncomfortable adventures (Which made you late for dinner). The book tells of Bilbo being invited to an adventure by Gandalf the Grey, an extraordinary wizard who was known in the Shire mostly for his fireworks, and thirteen dwarves who wanted to reclaim their home, and during this adventure Bilbo came across many things such as stone giants, goblins, wargs, a dragon, elves, spiders, and three particularly impolite trolls. I liked this book because it was the tale of an ordinary Hobbit going on an adventure with thirteen dwarves to kill a dragon. The most exciting part about reading this book was when Bilbo finds the ring of power in the goblin tunnels, this was the most exciting part because that very ring is what starts the Lord of the Rings series. I would recommend this book to others because it tells a lot about the lore of Middle Earth while your reading a magical story.
