(Caution this review contains spoilers) While reading this book I did not like how Finny and Gene were complete opposites because I was confused how they had this great friendship with little in common. However, I did like how Finny rubbed off on Gene that helped us to understand the development of all situations. I like how the author encompassed WWII in the book which lead to the insanity of the characters and their actions. The author uses the theme of betrayal for us to understand why Gene made the decision to jounce the limb which eventually lead to Finny's death.
