The Scorch Trials by James Dashner

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner is the second book in the Maze Runner series. Thomas and his friends have gotten out of the maze and are faced with another trial of walking through the now barren wasteland on Earth called the Scorch, filled with intense heat, storms, and diseased people called Cranks. I enjoyed this book because it contains a lot of action, takes place in a futuristic setting, and is a dystopian novel. I also enjoy reading a series of books because it makes it easier to find books that take place after or before a book that I have already read. Thirdly, I enjoy books written by James Dashner because he writes many young adult book series, including The Maze Runner and Eye of Minds.
